This was our first time at Golden Gardens Park. There were lots of families BBQ’ing. The smoky smell and sights of small BBQ grills by the beach reminded us of Hawaii, except for the fact that the folks were BBQ’ing gourmet style. Although the park was beautiful, it turned out to be an expensive visit – we got a $45 ticket for unknowingly parking in an area designated for cars with boats. The funny thing is no cars had boats attached and upon second look, almost every other car had tickets tucked under their windshield wipers. Oh well, at least we had this to enjoy:
A few minutes from the park is Ray’s Boathouse restaurant. They seem to sell expensive seafood but we take it the prices are justified by the views. Looks like the kind of place we’d take our moms when they visit Seattle.
