When we stepped into Parisian style bakery and cafe Bakeri on a rainy day after wandering around nearby Artists and Fleas and the Williamsburg Flea Market, we felt sort of like we stepped back in time, especially when we saw the workers dressed like Rosie the Riveter. And the girls actually pulled off the look – they didn’t look costumey or like they were trying too hard to have “that look.” The coffee was great and the pastries, which we didn’t try, looked delicious. We were drooling when we saw a man bring a beautiful platter of Spanish quiche his wife had just made for Bakeri to sell. Another great memory about this place: Harvest Moon began to play just at the right moment.
