NYC Highlight: Free Friday Art Night at MoMA

I went to MoMA and . . . felt inspired by the artwork, felt grateful to see the art for free, felt energized (and exhausted) by the packed rooms of hundreds of other art lovers, felt overwhelmed by the de Kooning: A Retrospective exhibit, and enjoyed splitting a glass of overpriced red wine with my new husband in the courtyard.

And a good way to end a MoMA night is to walk down the street and have a late dinner eating an affordable, plentiful and flavorful meal from the Halal Guys (the cart directly across from the Hilton). Don’t let the long line of cars and people deter you – the line moves quickly. Just know what you want to order and have your cash ready.

You’ve posted quite a diverse collection of images. I wish I lived in a town with an art gallery, I feel deprived. Thank heaven for the internet.

If you or any of your artistic friends would like a new venue to display their work, we’d love it if you’d pass along word about a contest we’re hosting on our blog. Here’s the link if you’re interested:

    Thanks for your time.
